BAPTISM'S - OBEDIENCE

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:3-4
It was with real joy that on Sunday we got to celebrate 3 baptisms that have already occurred, last weekend, as well as share in 3 baptisms that morning.
On Sunday the 25 January, Sora, Kouta, and Ethan were baptised at Foxton beach alongside their parents, Akira, Graeme, and friends and family. Through a video, they shared about the way God used His Word, discipleship, and time to draw them to a point of obedience. Sora shared that through getting together with Doi San, "doing Bible studies...every week...we got a lot more of an understanding, and every time felt that we all grew closer to God." We praise God for the way he has, is, and will shape these young men.
As a church family we then get to hear the testimonies of Declan, Andrew and Mingfeng.
Declan overcame his shyness and shared that he believes that "Jesus Christ dies on the cross the save us, rose again, is alive, and will come again to bring us into Heaven one day."
Andrew testified that "Jesus is in my heart and protecting me from Satan. I am relieved and glad that Jesus is always with me."
Mingfeng spoke boldly, despite her nerves, to share how she "always wanted to be baptised as a whole family, because that looks so good. I always used this as an excuse that I'm not ready because my husband isn't ready, it was actually me not ready.
Based on their testimonies of faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, all three were baptised in obedience to Christ.
