I'm sure you have all meet Jenni and her disability assist dog, Jane. As a part of our church family, we are excited to see Jenni & Jane making the little screen.
Jenni is an advocate for people with disabilities and has helped us as a church family to better reflect and meet the needs of a group of people can often feel left out or neglected.
When meeting Jane, there are only two things you need to remember...
Don't make contact with her or try not to look at her when she is on the harness. When on the harness, Jane is in working mode. When Jane is on the lead, as long as people ask, she’s allowed to be patted.
It's really important that no one at any time should offer her food. She trained not to take food from other people, especially human food as that can cause issues.
Other than those important remainder, take the time to chat with Jenni and hear her story. And if Jane is on lead, introduce yourself.
