AT KINGSTON COMMUNITY CHURCH WE BELIEVE...

ABOUT GOD
He is one God, the sole Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinite, perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

ABOUT JESUS
He is both God and man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and performed miracles. On the cross He died as our substitute and experienced the full judgment of God for our sin. We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, and His future return to earth to reign.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
He convicts individuals regarding their sin and of their need for repentance. At the point of salvation He permanently indwells every believer and becomes their source of assurance, strength and wisdom.

ABOUT SIN
Man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature because of Adam’s sin.

ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is by faith in Christ alone and cannot be achieved by any human effort. It is wholly a work of God’s free grace and by it we are justified on the grounds of Christ’s shed blood.

ABOUT THE CHURCH
Comprised of all who have become children of God through faith in Christ and have been formed by the Holy Spirit into one body of which Christ is the head. The church is commissioned to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all people.

ABOUT JUDGMENT AND RESSURECTION
There will be a resurrection of all people and a final judgment. Those who have received salvation will enjoy eternal life with Christ in God’s presence. Those who reject Christ will suffer the judgment of eternal separation from God in Hell.

THE BIBLE
The Old and New Testament, as originally given, were without error and recorded by men who were inspired by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.
